SUPERVISION
"Supervision can be an important aspect of self-care, staying open to new learning, and is indispensable for ongoing self-development, self-awareness, and commitment to learning" (Hawkins and Shohet, 1989).
I provide clinical supervision for both trainee and experienced therapists in the mental health field. I offer a private, collaborative, and supportive space for supervision sessions. My supervisory approach is integrative, relational, and reflective, aimed at enhancing self-awareness, personal growth, and professional development as you navigate the challenges and complexities of your work.
I have 13 years of experience working as a counsellor with individuals and in group settings. I am registered with the BACP and have also received postgraduate training in clinical supervision. I work in private practice, with "The Awareness Centre," social services, charity organizations, and also offer supervision in-person, online, and nature-based.
As the therapeutic relationship is a crucial aspect of practice, I believe the supervisory relationship should be no different. I strive to work respectfully and collaboratively with you and your situation, approaching my work with warmth and compassion.
My integrative approach to clinical supervision allows me to draw upon various supervision models, Such as Person-Centre, developmental, social, humanistic, and psychodynamic perspectives. I also incorporate the Integrated Developmental Model (Stoltenberg & Delworth, 1987), Hawkins and Shohet's (2012) Seven Eyed Supervisor model, and the Feminist Model (Brown, 2016). I emphasize the importance of embracing equality, diversity, and addressing dynamics of oppression.
Throughout my professional journey, I have had the privilege of working with adults facing mental health challenges, traumatic experiences, and victims of abuse. I have extensive training and knowledge in trauma, body therapy, relationships, and couple therapy. I tailor my support to meet your specific needs and practice.
Supervision sessions can be conducted one-on-one or in small groups online. Alternatively, arrangements can be made within your organization. The fees are £40 for 1-hour sessions or £60 for 90-minute individual supervision sessions. I offer reduced fees for trainee therapists in full-time education or with low incomes. Please reach out to me for more information about online, peer or group supervision. If you have any additional questions about the supervisory process or how I can support you, please don't hesitate to contact me.
