About me

Welcome to my website

Dilnia Horton counsellor at Dilnia Counselling in London - Bermondsey, London Bridge

My name is Dilnia Horton and for over a decade I have been providing help and support to people looking for counselling in South East London. I work with individuals and Couple in Private Practice, I also worked in NHS and for other organisations in the past, and I have experience in a wide range of issues.

Everybody needs a helping hand from time to time and turning to a professional for support can be the first step on the road to finding solutions.

Are you struggling to come to terms with things that have happened to you in the past, or are at a crossroad, unsure of the next step?

As an integrative counsellor, I work flexibly, adapting my practice to my clients’ needs.

I draw on different counselling approaches, including person-centred, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural, and creative therapies.

You can read more about these in my blog posts.

As a counsellor, I believe in mindfulness.

We can use these techniques if you’d like to try them out.

I also work with people who might struggle to find a balance between their beliefs and the difficulties they are encountering.

I also work with your spiritual beliefs, if you’d like to explore your current situation from that perspective.

I have experience in counselling with health services and other primary care settings.

I work with adults on a 1:1 basis, offering short term or longer, open-ended support.
